Animal Experimentation and Research Center (DEHAM), received the Work Permit Document from Turkish Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock Protection and Control on 20.10.2011 and the Official title "Animal Experimentation and Research Center" was given on 10.04.2012.
Our center consists of 1600 m2 of enclosed space and is divided into three main units.
- Educational areas: Lecture hall, library, and meeting room.
- Research and development areas: Cell culture, molecular biology, microbiology laboratories, and operating rooms.
- Animal care and housing areas: Rat/rabbit/mouse breeding, monitoring, quarantine rooms. Pig and sheep shelters)
The experimental animals produced and maintained at our center are:
- Rabbit (New Zealand)
- Rat (Wistar Albino, Sprague Dawley)
- Mouse (Swiss Albino, Balb/c, C57BL/6, CD-1 Nude).
- For experimental studies with guinea pigs, hamsters, sheep, and pigs, we have the necessary infrastructure for supply and use.
